My New Favorite Kitchen Appliance

Today I’m sharing a fool-proof method to get juicy, tender, flavorful, healthy turkey meatballs in a matter of minutes! ⏰ These delicious meatballs have zero breadcrumbs or added sugar, are gluten-free, paleo-friendly and made with simple clean ingredients. Clean teriyaki sauce
½ cup Tamari soy sauce (or soy sauce if not gluten free)
½ cup coconut aminos
1 .5 cup water
1.5 teaspoon fresh ginger
3-5 tablespoon honey or maple syrup or monkfruit (adjust to taste)
1/4 cup coconut aminos
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon arrowroot (optional)
1 tablespoon chia seeds

Meatballs
1 lb organic lean ground turkey
½ onion chopped
1/4 red bell pepper, chopped
1/2 zucchini, chopped
1-2 green onions or scallion, thinly sliced
1 egg
2 tablespoons coconut aminos
Sea salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Add teriyaki sauce ingredients, except chia seeds to a small bowl, mix and set aside.
In a separate large bowl mix together the ground turkey, chopped veggies, and seasoning. Mix with hands and form into small balls. Use SAUTÉ/BROWN setting on the Crock-Pot Express Crock and brown meatballs for a few minutes per side. Press START/STOP. Add the sauce to the Crock-Pot Express Crock, but reserve about ½ cup to be used later. Press POULTRY setting. Allow pressure release. In the meantime, heat remaining sauce in the microwave for 1 minute, stir then add chia seeds, allow to gel for 5 minutes prior to reheating. Serve meatballs with brown rice, pour sauce over the top and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Enjoy!
